Thai Foot Massage
A form of relatively gentle massage which concentrates on the feet, ankles and lower legs to promote a sense of relaxation & wellbeing and relieve tension. I learnt about Thai Foot Massage with Teach Therapy
For maximum benefit and deep relaxation the recipient should be comfortably seated and may remain fully clothed, although feet and lower legs need to be bare.
The therapist performs a series of stretching & massage strokes to "open" the Sen energy lines and release muscle tension. The therapist may also use a shaped wooden stick to perform friction moves and 'prodding' techniques on and around the feet and toes to stimulate reflex points on the feet which are perceived to correspond to internal organs of the body.
